The "Strength of Russia" marathon, a nationwide event promoting sports and physical fitness, recently held its first open ice training session in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at the "Vulkan" arena.

The unique event featured simultaneous figure skating and ice hockey masterclasses, led by renowned Russian coaches and athletes. Andrei Harlamov led the ice hockey masterclass, while Christina Ryzhikova took charge of the figure skating session.

Participants, numbering approximately 50 as reported by "41 Region", had the opportunity to interact with and learn from these professionals. They practiced basic elements of both figure skating and ice hockey during the session.

The marathon's activities are not limited to figure skating and ice hockey, as other disciplines will be included. The event will offer free training sessions in various disciplines until September 2025.

The sessions were structured with the ice divided into two zones, allowing coaches to work with groups in parallel. The marathon's activities and events are subject to change and may vary depending on the location and discipline.

Mass warm-ups, chess tournaments, and competitions are also part of the marathon's activities. Registration for these activities can be done on the official project website at sila-rossii.er.ru/.

The "Strength of Russia" marathon is open to the public, not just the 50 participants who attended the event in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The marathon will continue to take place in various locations across Russia.

The "Strength of Russia" marathon encourages participation and learning from professional coaches and athletes. It aims to foster a culture of sports and physical fitness across the nation.
