Oceanfront hotspot in California introduces improved audio features alongside breathtaking ocean views
The Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa in Oceanside, CA, has recently upgraded its audio system, replacing its outdoor loudspeakers with weather-resistant AtlasIED AS Series surface-mount loudspeakers. This change has greatly improved the sound quality, encouraging patrons to stay longer and elevating the guest experience.
David Schwartz, the founder and president of Essential Communications, was contacted to oversee the installation of the ceiling speakers in the resort's Shore Room. Schwartz, an audio technician, expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating that the Atlas+Fyne IsoFlare speakers are incredible.
The Atlas+Fyne FC-8T, an 8-inch in-ceiling loudspeaker, was used in the enhancement of The Seabird's audio system. This speaker, designed for fidelity, coverage, and aesthetics, delivers accurate and natural reproduction. The IsoFlare driver in the Atlas+Fyne FC-8T exhibits excellent harmonic alignment and provides exceptional off-axis performance.
The AS-8T, a two-way compact surface-mount loudspeaker for demanding applications, was also used in the upgrade. Featuring a high-excursion, weather-treated 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch exit compression driver, the AS-8T delivers a consistent and accurate broadband frequency response, both on- and off-axis.
Russell Jackson, food and beverage manager at the Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa, noted the improved sound control and even sound spread. The new loudspeakers in The Shore Room and on The Seabird's patio have significantly improved the sound quality and control.
Management at the Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa had wanted to replace the surface-mount loudspeakers above their patio because they didn't "sound good." The improvement in sound quality has directly impacted the resort's ability to entertain people, as the staff has noted.
In addition to the Shore Room and the patio, management at the resort is planning to install Atlas + Fyne loudspeakers in the Piper Restaurant later this year. The AtlasIED AS Series surface-mount loudspeakers, with their weather-resistant design, are ideal for outdoor environments.
